The North Carolina Arboretum

...amid a 434-acre public garden located within the Bent Creek Experimental Forest.

The North Carolina Arboretum is adjacent to the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, at Milepost 393, and is nestled in one of the most beautiful natural settings in America. Let's explore the Production Greenhouse...
The 7200 square foot glass greenhouse features the  internationally acclaimed, largest collection of Bonsai in Southeast North America.

Marvelous living art. Bonsai Appalachian Style...
Bonsai is the practice of cultivating ordinary plants, out of the ground, in a way that causes them to miniaturize and allows the grower to shape them to a desired form.

The Arboretum is an affiliate of the University of North Carolina and is a green industry partner.
Fall colors!

"Kayla, stand by those zinnias so I can take a picture because I can't believe they are that big. Why can't I get mine to be that beautiful?"
